About Abby and theMomCorner
Hello there! I’m so glad you’re here! Let me take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Abby, and I am the author of theMomCorner. I am a wife and mother of one crazy little boy who is always full of energy. Life is certainly never dull with him in the house! I also might secretly be Batman, but we’ll keep that one between us. 😉
I’d like to say that I’m an easy person to categorize, but really, I don’t think anybody truly is. For example, I am definitely not a girly-girl, but I do like cute, pretty things. And glass, I have a definite weakness for glass things: vases, candle holders, etc.. (Probably not a very good mix with a lil guy running around!)
Really, I think most people’s personalities continue to evolve as they get older and mature. And that’s totally okay. If I have to describe myself, though, I should definitely mention that I’m a definite introvert.
No, this doesn’t mean I’m shy or afraid to talk to people. That’s a common misconception. Introversion really has to do with how you recharge energy. Introverts have their energy drained by being around other people, while extroverts get recharged by being around others.
That being said, I am a quieter person, just because it quickly gets exhausting to be around others for extended periods of time. But anyway, we’re getting off topic.
In the summer of 2018 I decided I wanted to try blogging, and in July I set up theMomCorner. This blog is both for me and for you (which is a pretty good deal, if you ask me). It’s for me in the sense that I needed a creative outlet, something for me to work on and develop. Honestly, it helps me regain some of my own sanity and identity outside of being a stay-at-home-mom.
But, this blog is also for you if you are a mom. My goal is to try to focus the posts on theMomCorner toward helping other moms (that’s you) regain their own sanity. Because let’s be real, some of it starts slipping once you start having kids. I also want to focus on helping you regain a sense of your identity, both as a mom and as a person. It’s so, so easy to get wrapped up in just keeping the kids alive, only to wake up one day and realize you really don’t even know who you are anymore (been there!).
Okay, so you know who I am and what I’m about. But what now? For starters, you can follow me on Pinterest and subscribe to my email newsletter to get more updates and freebies.
